Has God ever spoken to You? I believe God speaks to each of us
but we have to be focused in our faith to hear God.
I had a dream recently that God asked me to select an event for
some very special guests. These guests were our key founding fathers:
Alexander Hamilton, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, Thomas
Jefferson, James Madison and George Washington.
God wanted this event to be representative of our country today so
these men would know that their toil and sacrifices had been successful.
God understood that my task to select such an event would be difficult
because the citizens of our great country were in process of destroying
the vision these men had for America.
I decided I would take them to the annual Army-Navy Game. The upcoming
game will be the 119th football game between the two oldest branches of
the armed forces. The President of the United States would be in attendance.
Our military chaplain will give a powerful prayer to God closing with a salute
to the men and women of the military who are willing to die for others to keep
us free.
Both sides of the stadium will be filled with men and women dressed in
their formal military dress. There will be no signs drawing attention to a special
interest and no costumes to attract the focus of the many cameras.
The atmosphere will be full of excitement and competition with each praying
for a win. All in attendance will have in common that each is an American
and thankful to live in such a great country.
Visuals of respect, courtesy, civility, honor, and admiration for all of God’s Children
will be everywhere you look. This will be a time where all is good and all things
evil are out of sight.
I knew that our founders believed that only good and honorable people could keep
the Republic that they had given us. I could not think of a better place to display
such people.
I only hope that my knowledge of the history and fundamentals of the game of football
are sufficient to explain to these remarkable men.
“We in America do not have
government by the majority.
We have government by the
majority who participate.”
Thomas Jefferson
